BLOOD AND ROMANCE NOW ON DVD

Blood and Romance,  an eye opener from the middle belt region of Nigeria, a love story told from a completely different angle, it circles around a youth service corp member, Jamal (Khing Bassey) and an illiterate village girl, Ojone (Ajanigo Semion) who happen to fall in love despite the language barrier as it was just one fellow, Onuche (Tom Makolo Jnr.) in the whole village that can manage to interpret what the corp member is saying and also from the villagers to the corp member. The Agronomy graduate corper who was sent to a village where he was the first corper ever to have been sent to that part of the village to orient the people about the modern day farming found love in a village girl which led to serious ups and downs as a young fighter, Arome (Lewis Oguche) in the village made life unbearable for the two love birds owing to the fact that he was interested in the girl before the corper came around. One little too quick decision changed everything. The story is a mix up of conspiracy, suspense, romance, tragedy, comedy, and action. This is a love story where it wasn’t a “happily ever after” ending as the two love birds came to an unpredictable end.

Blood and Romance is produced and directed by Danjuma ‘Deejay’ Sa’id. It stars Khing Bassey, Ajanigo Simeon, Lewis Oguche, and Tom Makolo Jnr., Ege Idakwo, and Blessing Jibrin. It now on DVD for the delight of those who didn't see it at the cinema.
 

KANO BOMB BLAST UPDATE

The bomb blast that occurred in Middle Road by Gold Coast Road of Sabon Gari area of Kano state claimed about seven lives and many others with different degree of injuries.

According to Mr. John who had a deep cut on his face the bombers could not hit their primary target, a newly opened relaxation bar cum hotel in the area due to lack of parking space; else lots of lives would have been lost.

Among the casualties one was confirmed dead today by his friend who escaped by a stroke of fate.

May the affected families accept our sincere condolences.

Louis, 62, has managed at the top level of European football for over 20 years and in that time has won domestic titles and domestic cups in three countries, as well as the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Cup, an Intercontinental Cup, two UEFA Super Cups and domestic Super Cups in Holland and Germany. 

He will take up his post after the FIFA World Cup, where he will manage the Dutch national team.

Ryan Giggs, English football's most decorated footballer and the United player with the most appearances in the club's history, has been appointed as assistant manager. Ryan took charge of the first team for the last four matches of the 2013/14 season.

Announcing the appointments, Ed Woodward said: "In Louis van Gaal, we have secured the services of one of the outstanding managers in the game today. He has achieved many things in his career to date and Old Trafford provides him with a fitting stage on which to write new chapters in the Manchester United story.

FC Barcelona have confirmed former player Luis Enrique as their new coach on a two-year contract. He spent eight seasons at Camp Nou as a player and another three seasons in charge of the Barcelona B team. He takes over from Martino who had to step down after his side lost the La Liga title with a 1-1 draw with Athletico Madrid.
