AIT CREW ATTACKED IN KANO

KANO – African Independent Television crew monitoring local government election Saturday escaped death by whiskers when thugs attack them on line of duty.

The incident occurred at Gama quarters, Nasarawa local government area of the municipality following complaint on probing questions posed to officials of Kano independent electoral commission.

In the ensuing confusion, the operational vehicle of the television station was partially destroyed.

Head of AIT crew, Mrs Ada told Vanguard that a brand microphone was seized but latter recovered.

The police image maker in the city confirmed the incident pointing out that investigation is on to arrest the perpetrators.
