TAMPAN VISIT OSUN STATE GOV, AREGBESOLA

The interim national working committee and the entire state executives of the newly formed Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) paid a courtesy visit to  Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Governor of Osun state during the special parley of the association hosted by the state.

The association was formally presented to the governor by it interim national chairman  Mr. Yemi Solade, he used the  opportunity to elucidate to  all present what the association represent and also why TAMPAN is necessary in the industry.  In his address the governor appreciated the visit and promised to support the association to achieve its objectives. 

In the same vein, they paid a visit to Osun state commissioner of police and also the traditional ruler of Osogbo. Both personalities vouched their total support for the association.

According to the association’s director of public relations and media Mr. Yomi Fash Lanso, at the end of a heated deliberation the association resolved to make the constitution ready available for all its chapters for proper functioning. He also explained that registration and accreditation of members should be given serious attention as TAMPAN would not tolerant touts and miscreants as members. Finally, state chairmen and their respective executives agreed to work independently towards the attainment of the association aims and objective.

The association which is barely three month has is presence in about 18 state of the federation, and that includes some states in the North. The motive behind its formation is seen as a reason for its acceptability, TAMPAN wishes that as practitioners we speak with one voice under one umbrella like other professional bodies rather the current structures which is regional based.
